Dr. Dawn Pearson

Dr. Dawn Pearson graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1993. An Internal Medicine year and residency in Neurology were completed at Harvard Medical School, the Longwood Neurology Residency program. After finishing a fellowship there in Behavioral Neurology and Neurorehabilitation, she practiced in the Boston area for 8 years.
In 2008 she began practicing at the University of Calgary in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. Her clinics are currently located at Alberta Neurologic Centre.
Dr. Pearson sees patients in General Neurology as well as more specialized clinics for those with changes in cognitive function that interfere with daily living. Cognitive changes can include short term memory impairment, difficulty with language, or new and unusual behaviors without known psychiatric diagnoses; and can be seen in the context of dementia, stroke, traumatic brain injury or chronic diseases that can affect the brain.
